Q. How have you seen ocean health change over the years, and what are the most pressing issues?

a. There have been many changes, but two stand out: rising ocean temperatures are severely impacting coral reefs, and the sheer amount of plastic in the ocean is astonishing. When I’m walking at the beach, I often try to see how many steps I can take without encountering a piece of plastic, and it's sadly rare to get past even one.

Q. What are some simple actions you believe people can take to be more ocean-friendly in their daily lives?

a. Simple actions like staying in contact with nature, recycling your plastic bottle and avoiding single-use plastic, buying local or choosing seafood that is sustainably sourced and clearly labelled. Also choosing Eco-Friendly Products by using products that are free from harmful chemicals and microplastics. Reducing carbon footprint, for example, unplug electronics when they're not in use at home. And Inspire others to do the same <3

Q. How do you envision the future of our oceans, and what steps do you believe are crucial to achieving that vision?

a. I’m optimistic and hopeful about the future! But to really make a difference, we need to come together. Tackling these issues calls for global teamwork and a commitment to conservation, sustainable practices, and strong local and international policies to safeguard ocean health. Staying informed, getting involved with your local government, and using your voice to spread the word are huge steps toward success.
